CMES Robotics & BHS Robotics to Demonstrate Hybrid Pallet Solutions at Pack Expo 2022

Visitors will be able to see and interact with the hybrid robots on pallets.

September 29, Seattle, Washington – Today, CMES Robotics and BHS Robotics announced that they will showcase mixed pallets of different box sizes with ABB’s 6-axis mid-range robot at Pack Expo International 2022. The event will take place from October 23-26 at Venue McCormick in Chicago.

“So far, robotic automation has faced technical challenges using traditional pallets, where they can only manage a limited number of case sizes with known stacking sequences,” said Alex Choi, President of CMES Robotics. “CMES Robotics has created a flexible and reliable solution for the mixed-state pallet by providing software that works with popular industrial robots.”

By combining CMES Robotics robot vision technologies and AI algorithm, BHS Robotics platform removal platform and ABB IRB 2600 robot, the mixed pallet solution can handle any kind of boxes, cartons, bags and types of pallets. In addition, the mixed platform program helps address labor shortages and reduce worker injuries related to stressful and tedious manual labor.

“Customer requirements are changing when it comes to mixed packages and the ability to palletize and cancel pallets of different sized products,” said Christopher Clark, president of BHS Robotics. “Robotic automation must be technologically advanced using robotics, vision, software, and hardware together to create an intelligent, resilient system to tackle this challenge.”

CMES robotics palletizing solutions consist of:

  • CMES Robotics Vision Sensor & AI Software

  • BHS Robotics Palletizing Platform Design and Integration

  • ABB IRB 2600 with a length of 1.65 m and a load capacity of 20 kg

  • Capable of 600 caricatures per hour (CPH)

  • The rapid spread of mobile phone
