BOYNTON BEACH, FL, USA, September 30, 2022 / – Germ-O-Guard has launched an innovative new product targeting the community of craft enthusiasts and hobbyists with its Germ-O-Guard Protective Skins.

Available in standard A3 and A4 sizes of 11.7 x 16.5 inches (297 x 420 mm) and 8.3 x 11.7 inches (210 x 297 mm) respectively, these clear laminated panels are Made to be used in household cutting machines popular with contemporary artisans, including Cricut, Silhouette and other leading manufacturers models. Currently they can only be Pre-ordered via Germ-O-Guard crowdfunding campaignbut will soon be offered through direct orders and retail outlets.

Germ-O-Guard Protective Skins use nanotechnology to impregnate the material with self-sterilizing properties. Using the advanced VBFree deposition process, various materials can be coated with a layer of silver nanoparticles that effectively blocks and removes germs without using any chemicals that may be considered harmful or irritating to the skin. This layer is durable and durable, which allows the material to be wiped naturally without losing its antiviral and antibacterial properties.

As a result, any DiY creations made with protective leather are able to reduce germ transmission by constantly killing anything that comes into contact with their surfaces, making them safer to touch.

“We are really excited to see what the DiY community does with this,” said Marketing Director, Mark Edwards. “A few uses that are sure to be popular are homemade protective skins for phones, tablets, and laptops, custom cut doorbell button stickers, and door handle stickers. The film is self-adhesive, so once you cut it to the right size, you can apply it to basically any surface. A frequently touched or frequently handled item, whether it’s at home or in your workplace – or your phone that you take absolutely everywhere with you.Because you’re in control, you can cut the look of any device you have and aren’t just limited to the most common.”

With a home cutting machine, anyone can design or download a template for any phone, tablet or laptop they have, and the new skin will be cut out and ready for application in a few minutes. These custom made leathers fit and adhere just like those commercially available that would be purchased in retail stores. The same approach can also be used by DiY fans to create Custom sized surface protectors for any other frequently touched surfaces Which would benefit from its germicidal properties. Since the leather material is transparent, it allows the original coating of the surfaces to show through, while maintaining its distinct look and design. This means that the graphic designs and patterns that customers can choose to preprint on the material blend well and enhance the appearance of the surface rather than simply obscuring it.

“I think the importance of reducing germs on surfaces cannot be overstated,” adds Jensen Fong, COO. “Just think about it, you take your phone wherever you go, and you use it constantly. Any germs that come into contact with your hands from opening the door or flipping the light switch are then transferred to your phone as you tap and swipe. Just imagine this happening all morning, and then you take your lunch break. Your phone is there. It’s there on the counter with your food, and all those germs are with it.You then text or check your email or social media while you’re eating and the germs come back to those hands you’ve been keen to wash before you come to lunch, and then they end up on your Food and in your mouth. But if you have our protective skins on your phone, doorknobs, and light switches, that chain of transmission can be disrupted.”

Germ-O-Guard also has a wide range of other products based on the same VBFree silver nanotechnology. These include face masks for personal protection, protective skins pre-cut to fit a wide variety of common electronic devices, as well as rolls of material suitable to add antiviral and antibacterial protection to larger or wider items.

Germ-O-Guard currently welcomes inquiries regarding group orders and companies interested in pursuing business opportunities.
