Payload interface nodes expand MDA’s impact in the emerging commercial space infrastructure market
Brampton, ONAnd the September 20 2022 /PRNewswire/ – MDA Ltd. announced. (TSX:MDA), a leading provider of advanced technology and services to the rapidly growing global aerospace industry, today announced the second commercial sale of its Canadarm3 technology-derived products to Axiomspace.
The new contract is for the delivery of 62 payload interface pairs to Axiom’s Axiom Space station. The interfaces will provide mechanical, electrical, and data connections for payloads that are installed externally on an Axiom terminal to perform activities including scientific research, Earth observation, communications and a range of other applications.
This is the second commercial contract signed between MDA and Axiom this year, and paves the way for more opportunities ahead of the launch of the first Axiom terminal planned in 2024.
