Scott O’Brien, Aviation Policy Leader, Joins Trusted Robots as Vice President for Legislative Affairs

During his tenure, he formulated a successful legislative strategy for the NBAA’s AAM Roundtable, including the House’s passage of the Advanced Aviation Infrastructure Modernization Act. He also regularly represented the NBAA before the Treasury and the IRS on aviation tax issues.

In 2017, O’Brien led an industry coalition that secured congressional passage of legislation that benefits aircraft management companies and Part 135 operators of aircraft leasing companies. Also, he worked closely with general aviation stakeholders to pass the FAA’s Reauthorization Bill of 2018. Earlier in his career, O’Brien was with the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) where he was responsible for managing the association’s biannual board meetings .
