Gula Creamery is a local ice cream parlor and sister brand of Gula Cakery. They make ice cream out of the flavors of their cakes. So you’ll get portions of their cake inside the ice cream, too.

Besides ice cream, they also have ice cream cakes.
They recently introduced 7 tantalizing new flavors of cake ice cream. Flavors include:
- Raspberry and pistachio
- Pandan Gula Melaka
- Biscoff cheesecake
- mango cheesecake
- the strawberry
Besides ice cream and ice cream cakes at Gula Creamery, they also serve milkshakes and pancakes. The waffles have a dollop of your favorite ice cream on top, and the milkshakes have bits and pieces of cake inside as well.
We gave them a try
As our team dinner time approached, we decided to try the Ice Cream Cakes from Gula Cakery. We wanted to try something unique, so we got Rasberry Pistachio.
We also tried two milkshakes, the Berry Pavlova Milkshake & Biscoff Cheesecake Milkshake. Yes, as soon as we heard their names, we all became prediabetes.
We reached out to them, and they packaged the cake and milkshake completely securely. We got them all while they were still frozen and perfect. But once you got it out of the box, getting those photos was a race against time!
The cake started with a shortbread layer, pistachio ice cream, then a raspberry sorbet, again with pistachio ice cream and finally, a white chocolate layer with pistachio flavour. Then it is decorated with cream, berries and pistachios.
As someone who loves pistachios, I personally love ice cream. The pistachio flavor is not too strong and too sweet. It’s just cute. Raspberry sorbet is super sour and sweet at the same time so beware!
The milkshake was amazing too. Yes, it’s great that you run the risk of developing diabetes, but it’s kind of a good dessert. Both are really creamy and rich.
They have some Biscoff and Pavlova bits on top of their drinks. It is very interesting to chew the parts of the upper layer.
Usually, tart flavors blend well with cream flavors because they can balance each other out. However, I feel like the brownie mix was a bit off for me, so I ate them separately, one at a time.
However, we still enjoyed the cake! We give it a 7/10 because it’s rich and creamy. The 6-inch cake is really good to share with about 5-8 people.
Note: You have to eat it fast or it will get really messy!
For milkshakes, we give them 8/10. Sweet, creamy and crumbly, perfect after a hearty meal.
The weather in Malaysia is very hot M. Instead of sweetening it with a regular cake, why not just try cooling it with an ice cream cake or better yet, a cake-flavored milkshake?
Having seen how much our customers enjoy the subtle flavors of ice cream but also crave the richness of our cakes, I was inspired to marry the best of Gula Cakery and Gula Creamery together to make the ultimate lovable baby.
We’ve put a fresh twist on some of our classic crowd favorites so even our regular staffers have something new to enjoy, and as always, we’re making them a fun size – perfect for sharing with friends and family!

Their ice cream cakes are available from RM90 per 6-inch cake and milkshakes start at RM20. You can get cold desserts at the four Gula Creamery outlets – Setia Alam, Puncak Alam, Kota Kemuning and Kuala Lumpur.
However, the seven new flavors of ice cream cakes are available exclusively at the Sitia Alam outlet, at the Eco Ardence Lab. But don’t worry, if you still want to try new flavors, they’re available via delivery as well.
