“The XACT ACE robotic system has already allowed users to perform percutaneous procedures, such as ablation, drainage, and biopsies, more accurately, consistently and effectively,” said Shay Meltzer, CEO of XACT Robotics. “Adding ACE Xtend has the potential to increase the efficiency of the care team through a streamlined workflow that helps reduce the time clinicians and other users are exposed to harmful radiation during standard procedures.”
“Interventional radiography is among the medical specialties that will face a shortage of physicians in the coming years, and technologies that can improve their efficiency are critical,” said Jeffrey Solomon, MD, vice president of medical affairs at XACT. “By providing different users with tools that can standardize the procedure and shorten procedure times, we can increase the number of patients they see and help reduce the gap between the number of patients and the number of physicians.”
The comprehensive robotic XACT ACE system is the first and only technology to combine image-based planning and control with patented S-Drive™ technology, which enables the system to quickly adapt from a linear to a non-linear trajectory through its automated instrument entry and guidance during procedures Percutaneous intervention. It precisely delivers tools to set goals with unparalleled precision, unparalleled consistency, and unlimited efficiency.
The XACT ACE robotic system has been shown to achieve an unmatched 1.7mm tip of targeting average accuracy at first insertion based on data obtained from the company’s clinical studies of biopsy procedures. By providing accurate, actionable results for medical diagnosis, the system aims to enhance early detection and improve patient outcomes.
